Above brings route, terrain, recording, elevation profile and warnings onto a detailed topographic map. Your route is prepared offline with POIs, elevation profile and difficult sections, so you have the important things with you even without reception. On the trail, Above informs you about official severe-weather warnings in your area.

Map & terrain

Before, during and after your hike, Above shows a high-resolution topographic map with worldwide map data and useful overlays. You can read contour lines, relief, slope angle, paths including difficulty grades, summits, places, roads, lakes and rivers.

Your tour on the map

While you hike, the planned route, current position, recording, elevation profile and key values stay within reach on the map. At a glance, you see what you have already covered and what still lies ahead. Tap the route to see how far it is to that point and how much elevation remains.

Search & bearing

With compass and search, you can orient yourself directly on the map at any time and find places of all kinds, from towns, lakes and summits to huts, cable cars or restaurants. Any point can be used as a bearing target for simple navigation without leaving the planned tour.

When it matters

Above shows sections on your planned route that may be difficult. Official severe-weather warnings and cues when you deviate from your planned route help you react in time and stay on course. In an emergency, the SOS feature helps you call for help and share your current location.
